Superspeed is something the lials work with very well – if only because it doesn’t seem like a lizard this size can move quite that fast, and the second that it does occur it has the added benefit for any prey caught in the lial’s sights to quite literally not know what hit them. As such, the lial shifts and bolts, given Maea’s tiger shift nothing more than a few seconds to see the massive crocodile-esque creature before he’s vanishing into the tunnels.
