Maea
I feel it in the wind, my dear
The sun is gonna reappear
The sun is gonna reappear
She could argue that allowing ones basest nature show, with all that came with it of sounds and reactions, had everything to do with vulnerability. In her mind it seemed a good way to open herself up to criticism and scorn where it would hit the hardest, and at least Maea didn't have any defense against that. But rather than cling to that conviction she tried to just listen for once, because for all their differences there was much about Danta that she both respected and admired.
"Given my reservations, what would you recommend I do then?" she dared, despite the sickly lurching sensation in her gut at the very thought of... feeling good, so to speak. "I'm growing tired of flinching at every little thing that goes on around me... but I'm... definitely still scared." She tried to make it sound casual, like it wasn't a big deal. But the quiver at the corners of her mouth betrayed her, more than the deers-in-headlight look in her eyes.

Good days are gonna come along
Hold on, hold on!
Hold on, hold on!
