It's not a demon at your door
Her tail coiled slowly behind her. It had to be strange, needing to adjust to new rules when a lifetime of doing something a certain way suddenly didn't apply anymore. Though it was only the faintest of comparisons, she only had to look at herself and the changes wrought to habits and traditions since the LongNight monsters supposedly disappeared. Normally, this time of year would be a frantic preparation for the dreadful end of the year - yet here she was, having done nothing to secure her home.
"Mmh. And yet from what I have heard about some of the worlds the outlanders came from, it's a lot freer than many other places." Scratching her nose, Maea considered. "Would you want to go back, if you could? To your time?"
