The puff of smoke into her face caused Thal to pull her head back slightly with a flick of her tongue. It didn't appear to have any desire to continue chasing her and the temptation to annoy the Fyrhund dissipated. There was no fun in games when they didn't play along. As the anticipation released from the Lava Wyrm, the content weariness returned.
Feeling bold and almost companionable in their shared meal, Thal slithered to the Fyrhund's now exposed belly and curled up to share warmth. The night air wasn't cold, but the tempting heat rolling off the creature's stony body and the full pressure of her little belly sounded like a great combination for a nap. So she melted again into a small puddle of lava, letting her eyes drift close to enjoy the proximity. She wouldn't say it was 'friendly' but it was an agreement between predators (despite how tiny she may be) that she would momentarily allow.
