Jumping at the sound of his voice, Maea turned with her breath caught in the throat and only breathed again after confirming that it really only was Danta. A closer look noted the disheveled mess of his hair and clothes. Where it made her look hollow eyed and ghoulish, he fairly glowed in the chaos of it and it wasn't hard to guess what he'd been up to.
"Thank you, but I don't much feel like drinking," she murmured, glancing between him and the clipboard, reluctant to stop if it meant having to think. The comment had her looking up though, frowning. "What do you mean by that?" What had she done this time? Being asked into his office was quickly turning into a bad experience and if this was how the conversation was starting off, Maea didn't look forward to the rest.
