Knots, Flora. When you sail you travel by knots. Either way, Jack settles into things once it's clear that they aren't going to be firing cannons at Starfall any time soon, and once enough time passes that the violet hued island is safely at their backs, the captain can probably stop being the adultier adult. (He won't, though, because they're on his fucking ship and it's one of the only places he's not likely to do something impulsive).
The signal for danger has his brows furrowing, and he snaps his fingers for someone to take his palce at the helm so he might investigate further. "A'ight," he calls to Melita, "you wanna shoot somethin, here's your chance."
Because por que no los dos, right? While Mel presumably decides to play with the cannons, Jack focuses both air and water magic to keep the sails full and the sea parting before them. It's not The Ark's first time sailing across the Maw, so hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult.
