I shouldn't laugh, but I know I'm a failure in your eyes
Feeling himself grow ever more prickly at the reminder of the many and varied ways the Family have been able to insert themselves into meetings and conversations, Ronin forces out a long breath that drags his shoulders away from his ears. "With our luck it's probably both," he mutters, and without thinking he's stepped forward to press himself against Remi's back, arms winding around him to hold him close.
"Whatever it is," he murmurs to his husband, "I imagine it can't hurt to have a few less void messengers flapping around. What do you think?" At the very least, maybe the Taliesins might be able to discourage the ravens from being so brazen as to fly right over Torchline to get to the purple-hued island.
And besides, he thinks he and Remi deserve to let off a little steam.
