Soundlessly, the bird disappears leaving only a few feathers to trickle down from the back of the group as evidence that it had ever existed. The ravens closer to the back began to croak nervously before letting their formation grow slightly lazy as they sensed danger. Those in the front however were too focused on the hawk's audacity to have interrupted, and perhaps spurred on by a violet intelligence neither of the Taliesin's knew anything about, they poured on as much speed as their wings could create.

Now, fun fact, ravens are actually quite fast when they want to be, and when equipped with multiple wings they're more than capable of making Remi have to work to stay ahead of them. The one advantage the pale hawk does have is his aerial prowess, allowing him to duck and dive far more gracefully than they and without losing any speed.

So it was that Remi abruptly dove, before flaring out a wing to turn and then angling himself back up in a steep climb.
