I shouldn't laugh, but I know I'm a failure in your eyes
Far too amused, at first, at seeing a shower of feathers where the four-winged raven once was, Ronin only notices those at the front of the group gaining on his husband as Remi prepares to show off his aerial agility, and the Knight quickly readies himself for it. Half hidden up in the lookout perch - on purpose, because all this talk about the Family knowing their plans is making him keen to hide them from their weird, feathery messengers - as Remi pulls up from his dive, the Knight unleashes another bolt.
This one, he hopes, will catch on a cluster of the ravens rather than just an outlier - two birds, one firebolt and all that. And whilst, yes, this is a little (lot) closer to his husband when it comes to the potential for him to be struck with a rogue projectile, between his aim and the other man's skill, hopefully that won't be the case.
