When Alys had left Halo, she'd meant to talk to Deimos first - or at least to write, once she'd settled herself in King's End. In truth, she never would have left if not for Tal, and since she knew that her partner and Deimos didn't exactly see eye to eye, she had felt that it put her in a bit of an awkward position. Still, she and Deimos had known each other for a while now, and she'd owed it to him to provide some sort of explanation rather than disappearing into thin air.
Still, maybe she could make it up to him. At least, she hoped she could.
His response to her greeting was short and perhaps a little brusque (although she certainly could have been imagining things - Deimos was not the most loquacious at the best of times), but she was determined not to let it intimidate or deter her. "Tal had some deliveries to make in the area, so I thought I'd take a look around to see how things have changed since I was last here," she explained with a shrug. It wasn't the most interesting or exciting of reasons to be in Stormbreak, she supposed, but it would have to do. "How have you been?"
