If the memory of their spar caused him any pain he did not show it. Instead he nodded in satisfaction and considered the lava pool thoughtfully for a moment before checking its margins. A shallow depression nearby held gently bubbling molten rock only a few inches deep that would suit his purposes. He removed his bag from his back and pulled out a pair of heavy tongs which he used to carefully slide his armlet into the fiery lava.

Then he turned back to Thalassa while it tempered, considering the conundrum of her daggers as she spoke.

"Mmh. With gods it can be difficult to say," he rumbled, a hint of wry humor in his normally-stoic voice. They were not constrained by merely mortal limitations and their use of the gathered materials could be... unconventional. Dygra, one supposed, even more than the rest.

But the weapons she presented were simple enough and the former-smith nodded in satisfaction. "These will not be difficult," he assured her, unperturbed at her lack of expertise in a specialized field that she would not usually need aboard a ship. "The leather is hardened, but it can be cut away. The bolsters--" he tapped the thickened metal between the handle and the blade with one large finger, "Mmh. These are welded to the blade and tang." He tilted his head thoughtfully, looking from the lava to the daggers and back again. "You may be able to melt the weld with the lava..." He paused, studying the metal more closely, and there might have been a hint of a craftsman's reluctance as he continued: "...but it will damage the metal." Which would not matter if they were being sacrificed as material for a new god-weapon.
