Thalassa
Sometimes you have to
burn yourself to the ground
burn yourself to the ground
As Hadama lowered his armlet into the bubbling pool, she tried not to laugh at the gods. She'd only met Dygra, and she'd been gracious and understanding of Thal's desires. However, it was nearly impossible to understand the gods and how they were able to make any material more than it appeared.
Listening closely to the Mer king talk, most of the terms he used were completely unfamiliar to her and she tried to focus on anything that made sense. Hearing that the leather should be cut away, Thal didn't hesitate to use each dagger to slice along the handle of its partner, letting the strips fall away. She didn't bother picking them up. They wouldn't serve any purpose in her new daggers. Instead, she shrugged her shoulders and looked at the exposed daggers. "I don't think it matters if the metal gets damaged. It's just getting melted down anyways." And if they were currently welded together, they would require heat anyways.
Her instincts said to drop the daggers straight into the lava, but she didn't have any idea how to manage the liquid mess they'd melted into. She glanced at Hadama's tongs. "You don't happen to have a tool for molten metal, do you?" Maybe if he had a container to withstand the heat, she could lower it into the lava.
