They all should have thought about it, it's not a burden for Sah alone to bear. All of the demigods in attendance should have remembered their own fledgling days, when new abilities and manifestations did not sufficiently bridge the gap of fragility. It's a reminder for all of them, that Seren and Melita were so grievously harmed - but it shouldn't have had to come to that.

"I know you wouldn't have," she murmurs, and saying it out loud helps further smooth the ruffled feathers of her primordial urges. "That fact is why you're not to blame. You couldn't have known, and if you had, you wouldn't have hurt her." Not in this way. Not in any way that could have taken her from this world so permanently.
