It wasn't the first time he'd seen her looking like that, but he was damn glad it wasn't aimed at him this time! And sure enough, the storm faded and the crew was able to pull the wounded delphinid aboard. "Thanks, Maea!" he called to his friend. "Y'did good!"

Boreal poked her head out of the crow's nest and gave a rumbling roar of encouragement as Tal stayed out of range of the Void-critter's bitey teeth and thrashing flukes and used his Dagger to stab at it!
