and everybody's gotta breathe somehow
It was a bit strange, seeing Deimos in a fatherly role. Alys had seen him as many things in their time - a leader, a mentor, a friend - but as a parent? It wasn't that she thought he'd be a bad one; on the contrary, the seer assumed only good things about the Sword's parenting skills, especially if he was as dedicated to that role as to all his others. It was just so... unexpected.
Of course, she only had herself to blame for that. She'd never had friends to keep in touch with before, and as it turned out, she wasn't very good at it. She felt a stab of guilt that she hadn't managed to write even one letter in all the time she'd been gone, but it was too late now. Now she could only hope to repair anything that she'd broken with her abrupt departure. Fortunately, Deimos didn't seem too angry with her.
"Yes," she said, a small frown crossing her face briefly before she scrunched her nose at the infant, aiming to make him smile. "I thought they were a strange dream at first, but when there were more than one..." The seer trailed off, shaking her head. Trying her best to keep the troubled expression from her face - although, truthfully, Erebos was probably too young to recognize it one way or another - Alys raised a brow at Deimos. "I haven't heard much about Starfall," she admitted. "But I ran into a few Void things a few seasons back. What kinds of tests did you do?"
