It is a comfortable shield – one that would likely make anyone else uncomfortable if they didn’t have the ability the Ancients had to be able to quite literally bathe in fire and lava and everything else that would provide someone else with their demise. She would know, she’d succumbed to it once before. Then, having returned as an Ascended, the idea of fire was just as terrifying.

At the very least now she doesn’t need to worry about it – something that had once caused her fear despite having control over the aesthetic of fire in her youth was no longer something to be wary of.
