JACK
Only as the whorls of lazy colour and splashes of emotion begin to knit into something more coherent does Jack let himself rise towards proper wakefulness as well, such that as Flora shifts and opens her eyes, Jack is already blinking up at the ceiling. It's painfully domestic, yes, but in truth the new day - this day in particular, within the sleepy confines of Flora's home and without the immediate tangle of minds from The Ark to batter against his magic - has rendered the captain docile. A sleeping tiger, nestled in her fine sheets and against the warmth of her body.
"Not until there's coffee it isn't," he nonetheless objects to her remark, the words sleep roughened and amused, because feeling joy first thing in the morning is a novelty for Jack as well. Shifting enough to peer down at her in turn, Jack raises a brow before stretching out into the plush comfort of her bed - another difference to the familiarity of his bunk, but not an unwelcome one.
His movement, of course, makes it obvious that it's a fairly glorious morning, too, south of his waistline; however much a force of nature the world and the captain like to make him out to be, he's still also a man at the end of the day.
