An excited grin widened her features as Thal let the flames spread across the sandy opening, successfully deterring most of the other participants. However, it didn't really help get the treasure, so she'd have to trust Maea to do her part while she provided the backup. It was a weird feeling to relinquish some of the control, but she did her best to be okay with it.
Thal didn't stray far from the chaos, keeping within range to guide her fire, which made it difficult to spot the arrows that appeared out of literal thin air. So when her eyes noticed the glint of arrowheads flying towards them, Thal cried out to the other Ancient, "Watch out!" She used her speed to dart through the sand, dodging arrows while sticking near to the prize. If she made it out of this, Thal made a vow to figure out who had tried to take them out, and return the favor.
Thalassa continues to utilize her flames as a force field around the orb and Maea while trying to dodge the incoming arrows!
