Whatever Dahlia had thought of their talk of uniforms, she hadn't made it seem as if she knew that they were bluffing. Maybe there was something to that, if only they could all figure out some common language to use that didn't need to be explicelty spelled out for static-y interlopers to overhear.

"And I'm not saying that we're contributing more than anywhere else, because I know people can just up and move, but like...it'd be a hard sell, you know?" Torchers weren't really known for their altruism.
As for King's End? Flora can only exhale and nod. "I mean..maybe he had a chat with Dahlia the same way I did when she went to see him? And maybe she promised to leave them alone." Really it was all she could think, though taking Dahlia's word for anything seemed fairly naive, Sunjata was one of the strongest men in all of Caido so maybe he thought he had a chance of standing up to her if she went against her word?
