Isla
one bright morning goes so easy
"I know that we're technically here to look for lilies, but I really do enjoy this place," Isla is telling Ever as they duck through the caverns and make their way to Frey's Breath. "Besides, you showed me the Eye of the Storm, so it only seems fair that I show you my hotsprings." My in an Ancient sense of the word, anyway.
Having received the news about Rae's Lilies and their importance to the exploration of Starfall, perhaps Isla should have been a little more careful in sharing such things with Everest given that he's, y'know, infected and all that. But he's also her boyfriend and she's head over heels for him, and other than the void creatures kind of being in love with him a little bit (something she can relate to), he hasn't seemed villainous or evil.
Having taken one of the larger, commercial skyships rather than La Verbena, they've had to pack light, but Isla still has a bag with her for drinks and a picnic, as well as a container for a potential lily, a change of clothes, and some towels. As they drift into the hot steam of the springs, too, she lets out a long and satisfied breath, every bit of tension leaving her body. "Perhaps I will suggest to Flora that we ask the gods for one of these in Torchline. It's meant to do wonders for your health, you know."
