Content to let her chop away her violent tendencies, Sunjata twists to start to get everything else ready and the pan warmed up. His back is to her when she asks her question, placing some butter into the pan as he waits for it to melt before placing the steaks into it. “We’re working on trading with Torchline this season.” He offers, trying to think about what else they have planned. “And once the ground’s thawed we’re gonna build a little central town so that there’s more to visit here than just the Refuge and the House of Midnight.” He adds with a soft snort, turning to reach for the steaks once the pan is hot enough and the butter is fully melted.
Seasoning it, he places one of the steaks in to hear it sizzle – a sound accompanied by the deep rumble of his laughter as he looks over to her and flashes a lopsided smile in the face of her disgust. “Only one person said a Ludo mask. Everyone was way more distracted by Fangorn floating around the space.” He raises a brow before he chuckles a little. “You scared the fuck outta Thorn, though.” He wonders if it was intentional or simply just whoever showed up first.
