Aurelia
"The Void," she echoed, her voice roughened by years spent in the wilderness. A flicker of anger crossed her features, but it was quickly replaced by a steely resolve. "I've seen its work myself. It's a plague on this land."
Her jaw clenched. "I won't let it spread any further," she declared, her voice steady and unwavering. Realizing she had yet to introduce herself, she tempered her spirit.
She met Hadama's gaze. "I'm Aurelia," she said simply, extending her hand in a gesture of both greeting and alliance. "And I've come back here to help in whatever way I can."
She nodded to the seed he had with him, "I can offer my assistance with planting that, if you need. Can you...leave the water, or..?" Her lips quirked to the side awkwardly, thoughtfully, before she explained, "Sorry if I'm a bit ignorant. I don't have much experience with merfolk. Even before I left, I had only met one. And she was a bit shy, didn't tell me much." Though Aurelia was curious to know more.
Of course, she understood the basics. But beyond surface level knowledge, she wasn't sure what was rooted in myth or what was true. She'd heard many stories of mermaids and sirens in her youth, how they enchanted and lured people to their deaths, but her home world was quite different from Caido. Assumptions were best left out of things.
