we keep on doing this again and again
the same old things expecting something different

He’s gotten more grey hairs since the last time they’d seen one another, a stripe of it nestled into the light brown behind his ear, withdrawing slightly to look at her and simply take in the fact that she was here, whole and safe. His smile remains just as lopsided, even as the question leaves her lips and his side of the bond starts to feel shaky and unstable, like an earthquake shattering through it.
“Better now.” In terms of how he’s holding up. “I…” He trails off with a little sound, his hands lowering to rest around her shoulders, his steel gaze shadowed as he looks away from her vibrant gaze, to the way her hair curls against her temple, how it tickles against his hands at her shoulders. “Nate’s gone.” It’s a soft whisper, loud enough to be heard over the waves and the hels screaming down the breach. “He, uhm, died in the war.” And I wasn’t there. I was in the Refuge, I didn’t know until it was over. I had nothing to bury. “So I gave them to a good family in King’s End that would take better care of them than I could.” Because I couldn’t take care of myself.
His smile twists to something masked, something she’d see straight through with how close they were. “I couldn’t even go and see Frey for a while.” He admits a touch ruefully, fingertips twitching against Aurelia’s shoulders.

Feel free to use magic/force on Sunjata, without killing him <3
Sunjata speaks with an Australian accent and has a passive magic that makes him produce a subtle scent that matches exactly to whatever those around him most desire him to smell like.
