It wasn’t showing off, it was simply survival, and for it the Harpy immediately starts to feel better the second the scent of blood hits the water. It sparks a frenzy, alongside the one already created by the other echo sharks departing, and Kiada tears into the one she’d targeted until she was satisfied.

Withdrawing from it with a last little bit of meat before it sinks to floor of the river, Kiada makes her way back to the river’s edge, shifting back into herself – now soaked, but feeling all that much better for it. Fire sparks in her hands from a waterproof matchbook, focusing on trying to keep her warm and hopefully dry her faster as her iceberg gaze seeks out the fiery woman. “Thanks. Are you using yours for anything? Or did you just feel like hunting?” The small talk feels like the least she can do for the fact that they were actually somewhat getting along right this second, and she waits for the answer as she dries her hair and face with the fire she’s created.
