Once they did he blushed crimson from his ears all the way down the back of his neck before it rose to his cheeks, and he reached up to push his hand self-consciously through his tousled hair - tousled, but no longer scruffy thanks to Koa's previous intervention on his split ends and advice on conditioner.
"Aww, that's just th'gin talkin'," he mumbled, pleased as the proverbial punch at the compliments and blissfully unaware of the downward spiral of Koa's thoughts.
