Snorting to hear Danta’s answer, he makes a theatric roll of his eyes before he flashes that beaming grin back down at the Maverick. “You started it, darling.” He drawls as if it would take all the blame away from him – it doesn’t, of course, given the fact that there’s a very specific line of burnt blanket beneath Danta’s shoulder where Astaroth’s flaming hand had pressed into the bite wound he’d caused.
Speaking of, as they separate and clean up, he takes the time to inspect the wound from where he’s settled on the edge of the bed, shifting enough to get rid of the burnt blankets as Danta kicks them away. “It does sound dreadful.” He agrees, even if he’s lost where his clothes were in the heat of the moment. That’s on him for not folding them and placing them safely out of the way.
Reaching for the mask, he waits to put it on until he’s shuffled back into Danta’s space, snatching a long and surprisingly tender kiss before he can’t anymore. The silver muzzle slips on and deft fingers latch it shut, and he settles easily into snatching the opportunity of being the big spoon for the first time in a long while. Once he’s sure they’re sufficiently tangled up together, he noses his way in to rest his face against Danta’s pulse as exhaustion starts to weigh heavily. “Goodnight, Danta, darling.” Comes the soft hum before he’s falling asleep, contently wrapped around the blonde.
