Then more things happen. Where air magic might be doubly effective, someone still needs to hit with it, and that person isn't going to be Jack (not this round, anyway). With the arrival of two Taliesins, the scream of pain from Flora's thoughts and the violet bleakness of the Void Tide Panther (and also the fact that Jack rolled a 1), his magic goes haywire. Where he'd otherwise feel the effect of it himself, because of Remi's magic, it's only the Bastion who is subject to it.
Slithering across the sand toward the sea panther, the creature dodges away from Noah, and then do you know what happens? I promise you won't see it coming.

The panther staggers backward, roaring with pain. Unsurprisingly it's toward the Wild Thunder that the bulk of its aggression is now directed, as it disappears and reappears at his side, bolts of violet light streak out from its tentacles, lifting the mage off the ground as it had with Jack, only there's no pain. Not for him, anyway. What Sah's armour fails to block him from is directed toward the Bastion.
Disappearing and reappearing farther away, the feline hisses loudly, tentacles lashing.

Void Sea Panther (rare/void) | Corrupted by the void, this favourite creature of Ludo's has been mutated into something horrifying and terrible. Trading out horns for tentacles, the Void Sea Panther is capable of instantaneous bursts of speed which it utilizes to either snap the necks of its prey using its teeth, or to bind them in its tentacles where the aura of the void can render them unable to fight back.
