Somehow he even managed to keep his right-handed grip on the Dagger so it pulled free of the luxere's neck - not great re: bleeding, but probably better than having Ronin shift back to human form with a big ol' knife sticking out of him?
Hitting the sand like a sack of potatoes and rolling a few times before coming to a stop, Tal would have been content to just lay there and let the luxere trample him if he hadn't heard Ronin's voice and figured out that the spar was over.
