"I didn't consider that, to be honest," he says of the negative aspects of this apparent boon, and it has him groaning internally.
Were it not for the Safrin discussion - and doesn't it always seem to come back to the goddess? - Jack might have continued down that thread of conversation, but with Flora agreeing to wait outside to scrape him off the flagstones of the Aumakua, at least he knows he can get home safely enough, and he gives her a brief nod. "Appreciate it. Can I get up now?"
