The ensuing chaos was more than a bit thanks to Zavien's stupidity. Blocking Tal's attack, forcing Aurelia to intervene, and nearly getting turned into a kabob on multiple occasions had him grateful for the final blow. He might have finally landed a hit, but it came with a wave of embarrassment for his actions. Making sure that he hadn't missed a brush with death, he cleared his throat.
