Well, honestly he should’ve been expecting a dragon. It’s pretty much always a fucking dragon. But it doesn’t dive for him, and for that he’s silently even more thankful, but that doesn’t mean that it likely won’t pack a punch if it does hit. Gliding alongside the group, the Flood watches the dragon miss Deimos before banking, sparking that deeply familiar hue of violet from its throat.
Gears work in his head, dusting off the rust that’s honestly been sitting there, before he’s flapping his leathery wings to bring him close enough to somewhat block Remi from a direct attack from whatever this creature intends to do (there’s two others to focus on, right?). And for all intents and purposes, given it’s definitely looking to attack right now, and he really doesn’t need to give himself away, the Flood conjures his water magic and sends it in a jet like stream toward the dragon.
