Danta feels victorious for approximately two seconds, before his legs are being pulled out from beneath him and he goes down just as Asta pops back up out of the water. Thrashing to get his feet back under him, the Maverick emerges - sort of. Keeping low so only his eyes are visible out of the water, whilst the urge to sass the butcher and his silly cumbersome horns is a strong one, he resists as best he can.
