The sort of plot level trouble that Flora is arguably responsible for isn't the same as the threads of corruption, manipulation and pain woven into Jack's every step through the region. It's not the same as people, sometimes innocent ones, getting hurt for no other reason than being in the wrong place at the wrong time, for little more than a shipment or a petty feud.
Groaning under his breath as Flora plays her next card and lands on condescending, Ronin's hand ruffles through to the front of his hair, leaving it a boyish mess. "And I'm not saying you're wrong. You say you're in love with him and I believe it. And your mother is right as well." Credit where it's due, what Hotaru has told her daughter is the truth - he and Remi have walked those circles around one another enough times, have lived it enough times.
"Of course it is." He sighs, even as he hates it. "So... you two are together, then? Exclusive? You love him, and he loves you too, and you trust him?"
