Given that they hadn't technically been kicked out of the Hanged Man, Remi and Ronin certainly slipped out the backdoors with their tails tucked between their legs as if they had. Clearing his throat only once they were outside and feeling as though he'd been holding his breath since Jack took his final parting shot, the Bastion was surprisingly free of tension or hostility as he reached for his husband's hand and sighed.

"My conversation could have gone...a little worse, I guess." He says with a small wince, his lips curled upwards in a strained smile. "I didn't really hurt him." Surely it wasn't Remi's fault that Flora's BOyFriEnD was so fragile, and given the Bastion's history and what was at stake, the fact that it would hurt for Jack to swallow for a few days was basically just a slap on the wrist as far as he was concerned.

Wanting to walk on the beach rather than the busy pathway even though it would take longer, Remi wordlessly leads Ronin down onto the sand and toward the shoreline.
