With a man like Jack she doubted if it would do much good to tell him that she was really sorry her Dad was mean to him, even if the thought was clear in her mind. Instead, she just cupped his cheek softly with one of her hands, her eyebrows raised. "You aren't those things." She whispers emphatically, her thumb brushing softly against the swell of his cheek.
