“They called it Rae’s Sonata.” He hums softly, lips twitching into a soft smile. “It’s about how the protagonist can either change and adapt to her new surroundings and a new life when the other was not inhabitable or safe any longer, or perish.” He pauses, consideringly. “It was a melody that stuck with me when I spent time in that town, so long ago.” For obvious reasons that don’t need explanation, he thinks.
