Joy coursed through the Dragoon, but he let the reality of the bond dampen his warmth. "Although... there is always the danger of losing them. I can't imagine that kind of pain, and I would already do everything in my power to protect him." Especially with the condition of Caido and the rampant Void, he didn't want to ignore the risks of developing such a bond, not that he regretted his decision in the slightest.
