Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Apparently he would need language for this. Despite not necessarily wanting to don his own face, Remi reluctantly complied. Trilling slightly at Vai, Remi spread his wings as gently as he could and hopped off of the former huntress's shoulder. As he did so, he elegantly shifted in midair, landing with his knees bent and a rather veiled expression.
Hands in pockets, he nodded to those around him - Alistair, Ashetta, and Devrum - offering a small smile to Rexanna and Deimos as well, before turning back towards the creature.
While Remi was transfixed as the rest of them by what the creature had in the box, he was also nervous too. Thus far nothing good had come to him from the supernatural entities of this world, and nothing suggested that it ever would. Nervously he glanced at the back of Celosia 's head, wondering if she too felt the same worry that he did.
Though his secret was not perhaps as secret as it once might have been, the alchemist didn't flinch at Devrum's choice of word, for he didn't know what it meant. Given the illegal status of homosexuality in Northaven and his dedication to hiding who he was, the alchemist had failed to learn much of the vernacular and slang associated with with acts.
Taking a breath, Remi considered the instruction. "Naive." He said at last, the word sadly slipping from his lips.
