Tal was almost as surprised as the Void Guardian when he hit. He shook sticky Void off his face and Goggles so he could be sure that he'd done the damage he'd thought he had--
And then Sah used his air magic to cover them all in corrupted blood-sap-goo again and the courier swore in fierce mumbles as he was forced to keep his mouth closed again against accidental ingestion of the yucky stuff.
But, hail, it was working. Maybe a little too well, as the jungle retaliated and Tal twisted to the side to avoid retribution. This time he saw Flora get hit, however, and his swearing went up a notch. "Fuckin'-- HEY! Leave 'er alone!" he yelled at the jungle, trying to get on the other side of Flora so that she was between Noah's back and his own. "Pick on someone your own size, y'stupid, smelly sack o' overgrown shoelaces!"
Y'know, not someone like Tal. Just... someone not-Flora.
But at least he punctuated his demands with an emphatic stab of his trusty Nightmare Delivery Dagger.
Tal moves to the other side of Flora to protect her (so she's in the middle between him and Noah), and taunts the jungle. Also, he stabs it to get his point across.
