Let it never be said that a dire situation doesn't do wonders to bring people together. Moving almost as one, both Talyson and Flora strike at the roots binding Noah with their weapons, striking true and causing the sharp appendages to flinch (ow, sorry Noah) and begin to promptly withdraw. Only a moment later and the celestial dome bathes them all in golden, healing light, and though the creature doesn't care less about it, undoubtedly the Forsaken's allies will appreciate the breather.
Now here's where it gets a bit complicated.
As much asSah's intentions are good, the thing about things moving very quickly is that where they once were might not be where they are any longer. And the roots binding Noah rolled 100 are almost frighteningly swift, retreating into the earth such that the Wild Thunder has only one place to go - and that's directly at the man he'd been trying to free. Such is the danger of close combat, alas.
Whilst the group has been busy dealing with the roots, however, the nether vines are free to play, and this time they go right forTalyson. Connecting with the Messenger with enough force to knock him off his feet, at least his Rockhide Vest will be getting its use, and the static that lashes out from it causes the vine to flinch away. It won't be trying that again in a hurry.
Or anything else, judging by the sluggish movements of the jungle all around.
