“One of my favorite pastimes,” he gave with a quirk of a smile, finishing off his own tea. Might as well be two of them brooding ominously from the corners. He had no means or measures to stop Hotaru from making another abysmal mistake, because he’d already tried reasoning with her on multiple occasions, and remaining slightly-above-bitter was about all he had left.
As for other dramatics, the Sword wasn’t surprised on the Ronin and Hotaru side of things. It’d been a difficult and trying time on many intervals, and when he’d heard of the entire saga, he’d been just as floored. While they could all probably say Flora and Enzo had been a blessing in their lives, the rifts and schisms caused had made situations that much worse. The lasting impacts remained, clearly, and made Deimos continue to appreciate his own extended family. So he gave a brief cringe for all their sakes, before staring into his empty mug. “Understandable.” Head tilting, he pondered over the complexities, wrinkling his nose a little. “Hopefully you all find ways of…,” he didn’t want to say restoration, because it may not happen at all. “Making peace with it. Moving forward.” Because he knew what it was like to be stuck in the past – mired and ruined. And sometimes he chose to hang onto that pettiness and spite for dear life.
