// you knew who I was //
"You have enough bad luck as it is," Danta teases Asta with a smirk; wicker women, gore crow boggarts, bloodbane misfires - need he go on? The Maverick has just enough time to glance up at Charlie before she's simply gone... and then back, and then gone again, and he's left grinning at the space where she'd once been as if expecting her to return a second (or third) time.
When it's clear that she isn't darting back to them instantly, he helps to ferry the mirror to the location Asta has picked out, carefully setting it against the wall and anchoring it there with a few brackets and fixtures. It ought to hold itself up by its own weight, but again, there's that talk about bad luck. Better to be safe than sorry.
"You think?" He tilts his head at Asta, peering at himself in the glass and parting his lips to say something more, before the little priestess's voice rings out from the corridor. Turning in time to see her enter the room, the offering she brings is beautiful all by itself, and as she sets it aflame and casts rainbows of light around the room, his jaw drops in delight.
"You are a wonder, you know that?" he informs her. "Here, it can sit on the mantel above the fireplace." That way the flames from the fire might also catch upon it at will.
Stepping back once he's satisfied with the placement, Danta lets out a long breath that has his shoulders sagging. "I think that might be it for now. Thanks, Charlie. Come on - let's go see how drunk you can get."
AND WE'RE DONE! Thank youuuuuu!
