Pressed against Charlie’s arm with his own, the butcher finds himself quite content as he squishes them together a touch more if only so that Charlie could share her secrets, his dark gaze scanning her face before landing on her bright, adoring eyes. “No kidding.” The butcher hums in that deeper Whitebrim drawl, content to leave it at that and even more content to have her cheek rest against his shoulder.
He catches her gaze and her whisper and it only broadens his smile. “Do you? It’s still quite fresh to be honest. But… I am happy.” He admits when Danta returns, pulling his gaze away to snag his drink. Sipping lightly from it, his tail winds around the leg of Charlie’s barstool, the spaded tip winding around the other to give her a bit of a foot rest for the moment.
“It’s perfect, Danta.” He purrs to the Theocrat, setting the glass down so he can fish a cherry out and to also beckon the Maverick closer so he can keep an eye on the both of them from wobbling on their chairs.
