The butcher’s stomach sways and moves immensely with each passing breath and as Danta puts up his glamour and curls in, Asta winds his arms around him if only to make sure he can steady himself from the dizzying hangover. His eyes squeeze shut even tighter if at all possible, arms a touch shaky from how much liquor he’d had the day before, and when he hears Danta’s complaint it’s with a very accented whisper that he says “I think I might already be dead.”
It’s a quiet complaint, unsure if he were to add more to his voice if it might make his head throb harder. But it’s with a huff of a groan at the realization of no water, one that has another shiver raking through him, tail sweeping unhappily under the blankets. “No. We didn’t. And I locked the door.” Maybe they were blessed enough that the staff had left water outside their door rather than making them face the idea of crawling down the stairs to retrieve some.
