"Thank you. Your assistance in securing my legacy is appreciated," Danta mumbles, as gods if it isn't an entire ordeal just to slink out of bed, the Maverick groaning and propping himself up for a few moments against the side of it after he hits the floor. "Fuck, I haven't been hungover like this in a minute." Feeling shaky, empty and sick with it, he takes another few breaths before feeling steady enough to totter to his feet, padding across the room with one hand shading his eyes from the light.
"I didn't even close the curtains," he says sadly, reaching out to unlock the door and letting out a sigh of blessed relief at what he finds out there. "We have the best bartenders," he says, carefully picking up the tray and shuffling back in with it. Along with a large jug of water is a pot of coffee, some toast, fruit and crackers. Not that Danta feels like any of it right now, but fuck, it's nice not to have to think about leaving the room.
Ending up setting the tray on an upturned box reasonably close to the bed, Danta pours himself a glass of water and sinks down to sit on the edge of it to think about what he's done.
