Stumbling forward, his weight pitched entirely against the Knight, Remi gasps sharply as the air is squeezed from his lungs accompanied by a pulse of shaky relief and affection through the bond. Had the situation not been so serious, Remi might have tried to pin some of the blame on Ronin for not having been around to soothe the tension with his mere presence, but in all honesty, he thought Jack was to blame for the majority of the escalation. Maybe that would turn out to be wrong, but for the moment Remi was fairly convinced that the captain knew precisely what it was he was doing, leaving Remi to wonder why.
"Well, Flora didn't hit me this time, and I didn't hit Jack, so.." Tangling his arms around his husband's body, shuffling forward enough to be considered properly inside the Northaven rather than lingering in the open doorway, Remi's hands ruffle beneath Ronin's shirt, desperate to feel his magic at work against the warmth of his husband's skin. Pressing his fingertips against Ronin's body as if he might be able to claw back the moments that had gotten away from him, the Bastion sighed deeply, his arms flinching with tension. "I told Mateo he could stay, but I doubt if he will." He murmurs.
"Gods I really hate that guy." Feathering his jaw, Remi tries to exhale the tension that has his shoulders creeping up toward his ears. "It was bad enough seeing him toy with Flora as if his hold over her was something to wave in our faces, but after you left..." Huffing against Ronin's shirt, Remi shakes his head. "..he really is just a miserable bastard of a man."
