At Boreal’s dramatic sigh, Soh giggled and returned to her scratching, murmuring an apology. Fortunately for them both, Tarak was content upon the edge of the table, where he had stretched out in a shaft of sunlight, sunning himself quite happily. After all, it had been some time since anyone but him had received Soh’s affection, and he was content, for the moment, to share.
Soh flushed at the thought that she had been important enough to Tal for him to go to Mort for her - even if he did get to kill two birds with one stone. She wanted to say that he shouldn’t have, but honestly, she was glad to know that someone cared, flattered by the reception from all of her friends.
Except for Koa. He hadn’t been nearly as welcoming.
Pushing that thought out of her mind, she refocused on the conversation at hand, only to blush again, embarrassed. ”I actually… went to Frey, a long time ago. With Jude. Nature Frey,” she added quickly, realizing that she might wish to specify. ”It seems so silly now. We wanted a pair of earrings so we could talk over long distances, since I was in Stormbreak and he was in Torchline… but then…” Then they’d gotten together, and broken up, and now she didn’t even know where he was. ”It seems silly to ask for another quest when I already have one I never finished. I don’t know if I even want to, now.”
