Ordinarily, Melita wouldn’t come back to the Feverlands much at all. But with recent developments (i.e. they fucked up that stupid hanging tree), and the void beginning to dissipate, she figured they should’ve returned to clean up the mess.

And mostly, perhaps, to ensure nothing was reclaimed so very quickly.

Uncertain if that was even possible (though she didn’t put much past the Family at this point), she still tread amidst the mud and horrors, this time with her faithful companions and a whole lot of spite. Pride too, in their accomplishments; because they’d fought back and triumphed, even for just a moment.

Gesturing towards Rhiannon (who she didn’t know but she’d take willing volunteers) and Thalassa, she inclined her jaw towards the pieces around them. “Thanks for coming out – figured we could bring some order to this shit and clear whatever’s left out.” There were bits of purple still clinging in various decrees – like debris, particles that had yet to be consumed, mended, or healed, broken chunks of bark from the timber that once stood ominously nearby, and any other scraps. “Let’s start gathering stuff in a big pile. Then we can burn it.” And if there was some massive grin on her features about utilizing incendiary devices, then so be it.
