If a regional quest could do the trick, but there was no one to lead such an effort, then where did that leave them? Did anyone care that much about the Wilds, to try to organize it, to appeal to the gods on their behalf? Alys drummed her fingers on the table, momentarily lost to thought. "Who would even try, when the populated areas still aren't all protected?" she asked. "I suppose those should be the first focus, shouldn't they?"
Regardless of the answer, Alys very much doubted that she would be the one to ask Vi, Rae, or Mort for such a quest. She wasn't much of a leader, and she didn't hold much sway with any of the gods or their heralds. She hadn't even managed to finish her quest from Frey yet. But then... what better way to garner favor than to succeed in such a huge endeavor?
