It was made a little more challenging by having one hand on the table, but Tal wouldn't let go of Alys's fingers unless he absolutely had to. Even after all this time it was still strange and a little amazing to the courier that his partner made it so easy to reach for her without thought. She made him want to be better, to try hard not to let her down or do anything to disappoint her, and to keep the smile on her face.
